Mr. Sharath Waikar, Co-founder and CEO of Lean Station spoke about the innovation challenges and shared how Lean PlanDo can be integrated with Building information Modelling (BIM) for improving planning , visualization and construction management at the JTC InnoTalks organised for their staff on the 12th May 2017 at JTC Summit.
JTC, formerly known as Jurong Town Corporation, is a Singaporean state owned real estate company and statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry headquartered in Jurong, Singapore. Established in 1968, the company was set up by the Government of Singapore as the country's principal developer and manager of industrial estates and their related facilities.
At the JTC InnoTalks, JTC colleagues listened attentively. Lean Station’s CEO Sharath Waikar shared interesting stories on innovation challenges and the company’s journey with JTC’s support to testbed the development of Lean PlanDo software - a cloud-based tool that integrates LEAN construction planning derived from Lean PlanDo and integrates with conventional construction project scheduling.
Lean Station is now looking forward to marry its current software with Building Information Modelling (BIM) for improving planning, visualisation and construction management. This will help constructors further improve upstream planning and downstream implementation of construction projects in a safe and timely manner. Inevitably, the Singapore construction companies will have to transform, take on disruptive technologies to save them time and efforts to better plan their project using just-in-time scheduling.
